The only thing i can think of is have Invisibility turned on before the cutscene even plays then when its time to kill them just walk up behind each one and choke them out. I think that first part you HAVE to kill them.

Then in Coldgate prison, I can't get past the first 3 guards.
How do you not kill those guys trying to protect Emily and the Empress? I have been stuck at the beginning of the game for days trying to get through it without success.
